Elie Wiesel, 1928 - 2016

Elie Wiesel died yesterday at 87. I'll never forget how deeply his book, "Night," shook me when I first read it.

A man whose suffering now is historical legacy and whose story and spirit kept the memory of those who were slaughtered alive in our consiousness.

RIP, good sir. I hope you're able to rest.

If I survived, it must be for some reason. I must do something with my life. It is too serious to play games with anymore, because in my place, someone else could have been saved. And so I speak for that person.

He certainly did. Rest in peace...
