Tamiya color sprays, drying time?

I bought some Tamiya color sprays (TS-6) for plastics. I think they are acrylic but I'm not sure.

Anyone one how long a coat should dry before I put on the next one?

And how long it needs to dry before I spray on a dull coat?

The matt paints dry really quickly, as they are, iirc, laquer based. I usually give it 15 mins between coats, & the paint is dry to the touch (sprayed outside at mild afternoon temp).

First coat is more like a quick dusting, as with most paints it's best to give a few thin coats as one thick one will run, & the runs can take quite a while to dry. & as with most paints humidity & cold will extend the drying time.

To be safe, let the pain dry overnight before dull coating, but I've airbrushed Testors dullcoat on after about an hour with no adverse effects.

The gloss coats however are a different matter completely & take much more care than the matts.

To get more pressure you can put the can in some warm water for a few mins before spraying. Shake well & you're on your way!

Good God. I have tamiya paint that dries while I'm brushing it on. Spraying it makes it dry all the faster. Not sure if it's a true acrylic. I think it might be an acrylic enamel, because straight water won't bring the paint back to life, and your brushes don't get 100 percent clean.
