Exactly. This step is disappointing by XM. What's next, regular boxes with no velcro straps? Come on, XM!

Course not. Prices will continue to rise while the customer gets less and less (across all companies).

Just like to point out that earlier pieces came with no instruction manual and there were no complaints. See...this is the problem with giving people too much too early. People start expecting things but there may outside influences or factors that cause companies or individuals to cut back.

You can bet Optimus Prime and other higher end statues will have them...but there really is nothing hard about putting Scorpion or Moon Knight on the base. Also, they may still have pics of where pieces go in the box like they did a few years ago....but for such a small run for this and other characters, what's the point?

Just more waste of resources. I'm all for going digital quite honestly. The one thing that is disappointing is that the worldwide licensed 1/6 DC stuff will not come with prints...courtesy of the licensor.

^^^ waste of resources? So then you’d support XM getting rid of their current heavy packaging. You know the excess weight adds to excess carbon emissions for the freight to be shipped from China to the final buyer. And it uses much more unnecessary marterial vs prime 1 and SS packaging.

I imagine the manuals probably cost around $10 to make... so you figure 600 statues that's $6k in savings now spread that over 20 statues a year and now your saving $120k, so it does add up, even if the books only cost $5 each that's still a big savings that adds up over the years...

I'd be happy if they just kept PDF instructions of all their statues on their website for easy download...

Except the heavy shipping boxes serve to protect the statue where a printed out manual doesn't...

The boxes have to stay . It’s all that keeps these beasts safe for me . I can live without manual I guess on simple pieces but for special exclusives or complicated builds I’d like one inside . Just me .

No, we aren’t the ones saving the money but it does remove that cost from being incorporated into the statues cost.

I don’t understand how we have Iko Iko and other here arguing how this is so disappointing when they are giving an alternative (online PDF).

This is why these companies cannot take these forums seriously and find us a joke. We have posts about how disappointing the price is and unaffordable and then the others are talking about how disappointing some measure they might be taking to help that concern is.

How do you argue that people buying statues priced at $1,000 might not have access to an online PDF!?

Just can’t win.

I would wager SS creates more carbon emissions due to their really high Edition Sizes, XM average Edition Size is around 600 per statue where as SS is around 3000+ per statue... So yeah I think XM is doing less harm then SS... And lets not forget Prime 1 sells 1/3rd scale statues that creates even bigger boxes and more weight so they are even creating more carbon emissions then XM..
