I went to a general store. They wouldn't let me buy anything specifically.

The xbox 360 HD DVD add on is rarer than the dodo! Ive never seen one in the shops, its not available on Amazon.co.uk, where is it?

I didn't think they'd be that hard to get. I think that's a good sign though that it's selling out over there too. Means there's alot of HD getting out there.

Well what do you know, its in stock on Amazon.co.uk, and duly ordered by me! A comparativey less expensive way for me to dip my toe in the HD waters and see what its all like.

I saw a half dozen of them at Sam's Club this morning. They're out there. If I had an X-box 360, I'd have bought one. But no... I'm still waiting on a WII... DAMMIT.

I bought one from an american seller just before christmas for £124 including postage (and it came with king kong and the media remote) didn`t have to pay import taxes either.
Only just got round to using it though as it arrived faulty and I was waiting on m$ to send me a replacement. Awesome picture quality from it, and by all accounts just as good as the toshiba dedicated players

There was no mention on Amazon about the remote, I hope I dont have to buy that as well, this 360 is a money pit!

you should get the remote in the box, I think it was just king kong that was exclusive to the initial batch. If you don`t get one just let me know and you can have my spare one (as I got sent a second remote with my replacement drive)

Cheers, it arrives tmw so I'll let you know!
I ordered Dune from the States as its one of my favourite films, I put all the other current UK HD releases on my DVD postal rental list. Still need to buy at least one film tommorrow, no point having the player with nothing to play on it!

It came with the DVD remote, but thanks for the offer El D!
Didnt manage to get a film today, so my new player is sitting there untested! I thought they would have at least included a demo disk with trailers on it or something!
