I have spent plenty of money on items on Kickstarter and happily waited. Board games, tech, clothing?why not statues?
Also the beauty of Kickstarter is - there is no canceling. Once your money is in, it?s locked. The fickle half-assed collectors always talk big game, but never pay out can?t skew the design. Money talks on Kickstarter.

Stretch goals can be added on pieces or portraits. A poster. Free shipping. Whatever. Or none at all.

Exactly. That's why I mentioned a kickstarter in my earlier post.

Agreed. If the proposed product doesn?t get funded then it won?t take up precious resources that would be better off spent on a more desirable product. I liked the fan poll idea for the bust line. Time will tell if they follow through with a Grundy bust. Locking your money in with your vote, I don?t see how they could lose.

I can?t speak for everybody but personally if a once in a lifetime character I extremely want gets made and I don?t like the sculpt, f**k that statue.

And the point still remains, if you don’t like the sculpt or the costume choice. Kickstarter would allow a character to get made, but you liking what’s presented is a different story.

Big fan of Tweeterhead’s work. Was and remain hopeful they have a long run producing many new 1/6 DC characters.

I passed in this Batman piece, partially because I already have the Batman SP statue, which is awesome.

I was really excited for this new Batman release based on the original unpainted concept reveal they showcased at SDCC.

The later changes made to the body position and front leg completely changed the entire feel of this piece.
They moved away from Batman just beginning to spring to action, to another stiff standing pose on a gargoyle.
The front leg tippy toe stance is odd.
The final portrait expression looks plain and flat.

Still seems odd the changes made, considering the overly positive response received to the original SDCC reveal.

I think it's still a decent pose. It's the headsculpt that drags this piece down.

Yep. That's true. But if the studio/company can present a render of the sculpt, then we, the collectors, can make the choice to take part in the kickstarter or not.

I've discussed this before but how would a Kickstarter any different from Sideshow's current process unless if they sold it with renders only?

Is Tweeterhead releasing the 1/6 maquettes as a 1/4 scale? If so, i'll be waiting for Aquaman in 1/4 scale!

I don't have a classic comic based 1/4 Batman in my collection yet ...and I should have a least one. Might as well be this one since it's one of the best I've seen. Trigger pulled.

All the while, still debating over the 1/4 Hush Batman. Is it worth the price? ...internal argument continues.
