Please. I studied art much of my life, into young adulthood, and minored in studio art in college. Beauty and art are in the eye of the beholder. Saying these films aren’t cinema is like saying comic books aren’t legitimate fiction, or that comic book art isn’t art.

I think The Dark Knight did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night, though...

As many have said art is subjective. Art takes many forms, so to say Marvel films is not an art is wrong. Remember, many people thought Abstract paintings from the 40s were not art. Some still do.

He literally only said this because these films make way more money than anything he's made. I'm not even letting it bother me.

Nah, if it were then the recent ones wouldn't even made the amount they did. I'm sure it will happen though at some point.

Oh I'm sure they will make money for a while. It's the quality I was talking about.

The MCU still has a few popular characters left like Spider-Man, GOTG but I'm not sure how long these actors will be around for those franchises. I'm not so sure about all the new characters Marvel is bringing in. Without the original cast (IE: RDJ, Evens, Johansson, etc..) to support all these films, I think they're going to have a hard time being as successful.

Thor is kind of hit and miss, this new Hulk Hybrid is kind of meh and Captain Marvel who is supposed to replace Iron Man's role in the movies is not all that liked by the fans.

It will be interesting to see what happens.

As for Scorsese, I think he is a bit jealous of all the money and popularity of the MCU films. I think his statement that the MCU is like theme park rides is his way of showing why they make so much money because people will go on theme park rides several times which is how the MCU films make so much money, repeat business.

I disagree about the quality declining. Of the six films released in the last two years, Black Panther, Spider-Man: Far From Home and both Avengers movies I consider to be some of the best in the franchise.
