Should Jerry aquire the Watchmen license?

Since polls are running rampant around here asking Jerry to acquire new licenses and characters, I decided to throw mine into the mix.

I've asked this before, but don't believe a poll was ever made. I've been wanting someone to pick up this license for years and no one has done it yet, which is odd considering the huge following watchmen has.

I wouldn't mind these being made in 1:4 scale mixed media. But seeing as theirs only a handful of characters to be made, I think these might also suit 1:3 scale treatment.

This forum is weird, it posts the thread before it allows you to make the poll. Their was a little delay before I wrote out the poll options, but they are there now

Anyway, wouldn't the Watchmen license technically be a DC license?

Pretty sure that would be wrapped up by Sideshow/Diamond. I don't imagine it would be cheap either.

I count 5 polls in this forum. Anyway, Igo from SS already stated he'd love to do them but they don't have any plans to in the near future.

Jerry has already sat down with DC apparently. Don't think anything came of it but it's still a possibility in the future.

I mean, he's grabbed the warewolf license, planet of the apes and the thing. I'm sure Watchmen has a much larger following than all those licenses combine. I think the market is there, someone just has to make them.

Movie was great an the book was great, but didn't make me a fan for life, Rorschach might be the only one I would consider, but definitely not top priority

The movie and book were good, but I just don't have a connection to the characters nor do I really think that was part of the plan with the writing. It feels weird to say so, but I don't think of these characters as statue worthy and I can't see them selling much either.

I'd love to see some produced besides the dc direct ones. Thos weren't bad, but i'd enjoy and purchase 1/4 sized statues of all the mains.

As much as diehards won't admit it there is not enough demand for Watchmen merchandise. Otherwise we would've seen plenty when the movie came out years ago.
