Keep in mind that after an item arrives and is ready to be shipped out, some people either change their mind and cancel or are unable to pay and have their orders cancelled. It isn't unusual for pieces to become available briefly and for waitlisted items to convert at that time. It IS strange, however, that they had enough for the initial waitlist and more to spare for a short time.

I was on the wait list before it shipped. It didn?t convert. There?s a glitch sometimes that if you ordered an exclusive it will show in stock when you?re signed in even though it is wait list for public view.

I didn't realize that; that makes sense though. Thanks for informing me.
I was on the waitlist for this one as well and after my waitlist converted it appeared that it was IN STOCK for quite some time (probably until it shipped). I didn't know if they simply decided to do a second run or if that many people had cancelled their orders.
Your theory sounds absolutely right!
