HELP! Problem with Aquaman PF foot to base.

Hi guys,

I've got a problem with an Exclusive Aquaman premium format figure I got from Sideshow via waitlist.

The large black brick with the peg on the bottom of his foot is too big for the shape it's supposed to go into on the base. (or that shape on the base was carved too small)

I've called SS only to be told that they have no replacements to send me (even though the regular edition is still able to be ordered)

I'm in the Detroit MI area, does anyone know of a model/statue specialist that I can contact or know of something I can do to fix this??

My only other option would be to return him for a refund.

Many thanks.

Stick to Bowen?...

Sorry, had to.

The hole for the peg is too small or it fits but won't go all the way in?
Sometimes there will be a bit of gunk/debris in the hole that can be simply Dremeled out.

I'd get a small dremmel/something with a sanding attachment or do it manually with a file and sand/file out the hole in the base.

It's a part you'll never see and if the rest of the statue is mint it;s not worth sending back. it'll probably take you 15 minutes.

Replying to Collectorcol

No.

There is a large black brick like shape on the bottom of the foot with the peg. That brick will not fit into the square shape on the base.

Right now it's not an issue with the peg or the peg hole.

Thanks to both of you I think I understand what you're suggesting. dremmel/sand the hole in the base to enlarge it for the foot.

am I correct?

a dremel is your friend in this hobby.
along with some glue and touch up paints.

Based on what you are saying, I too would suggest dremeling the hole.

Sounds like I would try him out and see what parts I need to dremel or shave off.
Eat away at it little by little. Testing each time.
Eventually the impression will take shape.
After that you would need to repaint it, unless the foot just covers it all up.

Yes. I guarantee it's only millimeters out.

Just start filing all the sides of the hole, keep a hoover next to you, file, hoover, try the statue and repeat until it's in there.
