The oval is frequently used by Fabok, it also relates to the "capsule" belt Batman is wearing which is seen on pre-Knightfall Batman in the comics or 89' movie Batman.

Number one thing that detracts from the piece for me is the belt, super dated, not seen in Bat books for 20 years(?)

The oval emblem though has returned often - Doomsday Clock, Three Jokers, Batman: Dark Knight, Batman Inc, and so on.

I do hope there's a switch out bat emblem for those of you that don't like the yellow oval. I personally love the fact that this comes with the yellow oval. There's not many Batman statues of him in his black costume with the yellow oval and I absolutely LOVE that look. My only real issue is that I need this statue to have his black trunks. So, if I do pick this up, I'll have to have a custom guy add trunks on this for me and possibly add a square belt buckle if it's not too expensive. It very well may be my ultimate Batman statue if I could get those 2 things done on it.
