I went to a general store. They wouldn't let me buy anything specifically.

They billed me in pounds. It was for the recent Hot Toys Batman. £10 handling fee was part of that. I'm not sure what the total cost was all-in, but it must be pushing close to £180.

Anyone from the uk ordered anything direct from Sideshow recently ?

I ordered Thor PF about 10 days ago and got the Fedex invoice through today. £67.64 making this purchase direct £300 in total.

I see their advancement fee has now gone up to £10.50 but what the he'll is DUTY @ 10.27 that has been added ? Never had this on any of my other invoices.

Was gonna order Captain America PF but at $350 i'd hate to think what Fedex would sting me for that with this now so-called DUTY charged added.

Ring them up on the duty. I was successful in getting that removed by pointing them to the correct codes.

Ring them up bro. I just paid off my charges for Vampirella and there was no "DUTY". I got charged VAT and a advancement fee.

I'll have to look up my email correspondence with customs. I know under the code there was multiple descriptions with some exempt from duty.

The harmonised code should be B9503.00.9990
I`ve had to challenge duty myself one one occasion and got it taken off the invoice.

That's the same harmonized code as this invoice.

Good stuff. Just tell them you`ve had that same code on all previous invoices and never been charged any duty.
It should just be a straight currency conversion multiplied by the VAT rate.
