A stand alone Han Solo & stand alone Boba Fett film is absolutely the way to go in the solo adventure category. This is a great move by Disney. So glad the rumor of the first stand alone film following Yoda proved untrue. I like Yoda and all but don't think he is a great choice personally.

More info regarding both films

Is it just me, or is anyone else having a hard time wrapping their heads around the fact that spinoff films are actually happening? Don't get me wrong, I think it's fantastic. It's just that I only recently finished my celebration of the new trilogy announcement. I never imagined we might one day see full length feature films of characters that weren't in the Skywalker family. Heck, they're not even Jedi!

It's a wonderful time to be a Star Wars fan right now.

These could be great. I'm also glad of the choices of Boba Fett and Han Solo for the stand alone movies...look forward to seeing how they progress.

Why is this bad news? If the movies turn out like sh!t, then okay. But why is the potential to see what the vast universe of Star Wars has to offer a bad thing?

You have got to be kidding me. The "worst news you've ever heard?" Seriously?

So Disney buys the SW license and you expect them to do what exactly?

We're getting a sequel trilogy and they're exploring other areas of the SW Universe through individual adventures. As a SW fan what more could you really ask for? Basically EVERYTHING is on the table now.

Both Han Solo and Boba Fett are fan favorite characters with backstories that haven't been fleshed out during the Skywalker saga. Please tell me who would be better to launch a stand alone series of films than them?
