Your Statue to Figure buying Ratio...

While we conregate here on this board for the purposes of talking statues, what is the other budget for figures like?

Is it for every 100 you spend on a statue, you spend 10 on a fig?

Or do you just buy what you like and deal with the consequences later?

What are the figure collectors buying habits along with thier statue commitments?

Pretty much gave up buying figures expect for the odd one once in a while.

Something had to go (due to maoney and space) and action figures were it for me.

I buy mostly BD, then when a piece or group of figures comes out from McFarlane then I only buy the Baseball or Hockey figures, and as the new sets of Military figures are released I just order them from the website.

I have quit collecting figures at this point. I cpllected them for years and they all it just got to be too much. Statues and busts were the natural progression away from figures.

I still cannot help but check out the action figure section everytime I go to Target or Wal-Mart. I may not buy them but I still enjoy seeing the new releases.

The only exceptions I made this year was the Clash of the Titans rotocast exclusive from Gentle Giant and the Batman Long Halloween figures.

I try to keep it to statues/busts, but those pesky Marvel Legends keep bringing me back in. I don't get every one of them, but when there are characters I like, I buy those. I refuse to pay inflated dealer/scalper prices for figures, so that helps keep the prices down: I only get what I can find in the stores.

I used to collect figures. When I design the home bar I want some day, I figured I could work them into the design.

That was until I discovered busts. Busts were the product I really wanted but didn't exist. Now I get all busts and FS and no figures.

I will say that the figures today appear to be superior in quality and design than the figures just 10 years ago.

I buy What I like mostly Figures, and that are related to Thor, I would like to pick up a Lord Thor bust if a cool one came around. I just don't like what has come out, and I think Issue 57 would make a great Statue, it's such a classic Thor pose.

I will never stop buying figures, its my love, my hobby. I just got into statues with the sideshow ex Luke at lastyears SDCC. Now I have 6 Sideshow Premium formats, some Bowen and other assorted companies. I think Im going to stick with SS but I will never stop buying toys.
