i thought i read somewhere that the movie was the first 4 episodes of the tv series

Again.
All the more reason to skip this BS computer animated nightmare.
I really can't see why anyone with any sense would like the cartoon released in the theater?!? Even myself, a highly dedicated Star Wars fan can't find a reason not to want to punch George Lucas in his smug mouth for churning out this garbage and slapping on the "Star Wars" label on it.

Clone Wars Season 1 and 2 have been available on dvd a while now.

Season 1 is an hour's worth of quality story-telling and action, and Season 2 bridges the gap between Episodes 2 and 3 of the movies. Both are totally worth picking up.. each have a lot of extras on the cd's, to boot. Very re-watchable.

Genndy Tartakovsky (of "Samurai Jack" fame, easily one of the most beautifully-crafted and musically-scored cartoons ever... many seasons available on dvd..but he stopped producing four episodes before the conclusion to make "Foster's Home... Children".. haha) is responsible for the Clone Wars seasons.

I have no idea who's responsible for the latest Clone Wars animated stuff, nor have I any desire to watch them. Look too shoddy, and marketed for kids a bit too much.

Lucasfilm opened a new division in Singapore for the oh-so-great "movie" and new animated series...

This new series is Lucas attempt at erasing any sign of the original Clone Wars cartoon from our history books. My thoughts being because it rocked balls and Lucas literally had nothing to do with it and he probably couldnt stand that someone else did something more appealing than his prequels and this is his attempt at "re-doing" what was already done.

If you watch any interview on the new series they NEVER reference the original Clone Wars cartoon... EVER. They just say "There's a huge gap between Episodes 2 and 3 and leaves such a great amount of room for story telling and adventures yadda yadda etc etc" or something to that degree... NOTHING.

I wouldve given up my first born children if they wouldve made a good attempt at making a bridge between 3 and 4 as a new animated movie/series (instead of a video game) really exploring a BAD-A Vader instead of a ****tier version of going somewhere we've already been...

GAH!
