New Wave Toys LLC - Street Fighter II: Champion Edition x RepliCade

Sideshow and New Wave Toys present the Street Fighter II: Champion Edition x
RepliCade
Replica Arcade Cabinet! Looks, plays, and controls like the original Street
Fighter II Champion’s Edition Arcade Machine! This premium sixth scale arcade
cabinet is fully licensed by Capcom.

More Info: https://www.sideshow.com/collectible...oys-llc-905213

This arrived today from Sideshow Collectibles. It is a mini Arcade cabinet that looks and plays
just like the original from back in the day. To insert a credit the idea is to press the clear red
button that would normally be the insert coin mech. Joystick and all 7 buttons appear to be
micro-switched. Audio emits from the rear of the cabinet via two speakers (there is a volume switch
along with an on/off button located on top of the cabinet)
. The game is charged via a USB socket. Given the
size, price, i'm impressed. The game(s) play surprising well.

While the cabinet artwork is faithful to the original, it has to be said, the artwork is bland
compared to some other Arcade cabinet artwork. New Wave Toys had their hands tied in this area.
The blame is 100% with Capcom. I guess by the time Street Fighter II arrived, many Arcades
would line machines up, thus hiding the side panels from view, which might explain why Capcom
went with a basic single sticker design.

If i wanted to be hyper-picky, one area that could look better are the buttons. The buttons lack
gloss finish, and there is no dip in the top. The button functionality works fine.

To give an idea of scale, i placed Hot Toys - Harley Quinn (Prisoner version) 1/6th scale figure in front of the cabinet.

If you are the type of collector that likes to keep things sealed like new, you probably would
have returned this item. The brown shipper box was in perfect shape. On opening the shipper
box i was slightly shocked to see the state of the artbox. The clear plastic was covered in dust &
scratches, looked like someone had dragged it across a dusty floor. Removing the clear plastic
fixed this issue. However, the box featured a grove on the front like someone had dragged the
blunt end of a pen over it.

I won't be returning the item, as i have it out of the box, to play and display

Playing catch up on your posts! Really like the Catwoman piece. They did a good job on it!. Congrats!

I keep looking at those Marvel BookEnds, just haven't pulled the trigger on em because of the price. Its nice you found a deal on them!!

The arcade is cool, congrats on that as well!

Catwoman turned out excellent.
The Marvel bookends are good, but only get them for a low price. The full price is way over the top for what they are.

PCS - Chun-Li Alpha 1/3

A few shots of Chun-Li Alpha 1/3 scale. Some taken with flash, some taken without flash.
This is the replacement i received many months ago. Chun-Li's blue & gold top fits to perfection
(unlike the original piece i received). Thanks to Sideshow/PCS
This piece features the replacement right hand without the finger webbing.

she looks awesome. Good you get a replacement that seems flawless. Sideshow seems to care better ... also got good experience as something bad happened last two times.
Back to topic... for me the blue version is my favorite also.
