Same, must have gotten delayed -- really hope this ships again this week, I am so anxious to see it in person.

Was able to improvise and got him in a detolf.
With the cards in the default position, I wasnt able to close the door.
I initially just used the extra hand with the one card. But it started nagging at me that it doesnt show the full potential
of the character.
So I placed the kinetic charged cards on top. It was a happy surprise cause the default position
sometimes slightly cover Gambit depending on your perspective.
with the Charged cards on top, you get the full view of the statue.
And the position I have it, its pretty stable.

I normally only collect 1/6, but I made an exemption recently by picking up an Iron Studios Captain America.
And well...since I already made an exemption, and I'm a big Gambit Fan,
I had to get this one too. LOL.

With the short haired sculpt, this statue is a BEAUTY!!!
I've been drooling over this statue when it was first shown. And like I mentioned, even though I only collect 1/6, in the back of my mind, I've always wanted this statue.
As far as a negative on this statue, its the long haired sculpt. I will get to that on the another post.

As far as having it with the short haired sculpt, I am so glad I didnt pass on this statue.
I love the pose, I love the details on the suit, its an amazing statue.

An XM piece on a detolf shelf. Now that's brave!
XM pieces are notoriously heavy.

Wow, that definitely looks better than any other way to display him. Nice job and great idea!

Yeah. I did use two glass shelves for extra support.
In restrospect, I did have an extra glass shelf, since I'm using the detolf for two 1/4 statue.
I should have used 3 glass shelves just to make sure it can accomodate the weight.
But like you said, the dang thing is heavy and I dont wanna mess with it anymore, disassembling it taking him out again.
He barely barely fits in there cause the top of his staff is touching the right side of the detolf, and the bottom of his coat is almost touching the left side.
I was soooo glad my wife was watching me put in there, cause when I was moving it around for positioning, I was paying attention to the staff to make sure I didnt break it, that I didnt realize the bottom of the coat was touching the other side, so my wife Yelled at me to stop and pointed at it.
I would have cried ha ha.

I remember a lot of people saying that Sideshow premium formats were ok to put in the detolf and that those glass shelves could handle the weight.
So I made sure to use two glass shelves just to make sure since it is heavier than Sideshow PFs.

I own just one detolf unit, and i replaced the shelves with double thickness shelves (2 pieces of glass laminated together). On them are some Gentle Giant 1/4 scale pieces that do not weigh as much as an XM piece.

I have seen collectors in the past do what you have done, and use 2 shelves to make one shelf. I question if that really makes them any stronger?

Great piece from XM all the same

Putting the charged cards on top like that was smart thinking.
Looks like it was ment to be that way.
Kudos!

I went to a general store. They wouldn't let me buy anything specifically.
