Strangest double billing concert
Hey guys,
what is the strangest double billing concert you've seen?
Mine would have to be The Fabulous Thunderbirds opening for RUSH.

The quickest way to double your money is to fold it in half and put it back in your pocket.

Silverchair/LocalH - weirdest show but really, really loud
Rush/Primus - this actually not strange but odd and it kicked ass
Black Sabbath w/Dio singing, Exodus, and some really freaky lame-o band back on the Dehumanizer tour

As far as band combinations, my first concert for sure - one-hit wonder Nick Gilder warmed up for Foriegner
absolute strangest - Back in the mid-80's on the Yes tour, a band (Romeo Void?) was supposed to warm up, but one of the band members was quoted in an article as ragging on the band and saying they'd rather have Bugs Bunny cartoons as a warm up. The warmup band pulled off the tour and Yes actually went through with having Bugs Bunny cartoons as a warm up. It was one of the best starts to a concert that I can recall.

Anvil (metal) and Bryan Adams (during the Cuts Like a Knife tour).
Very bizarre double bill. Even more bizarre mix of people who attended...
The little girls (and their parents) who went to see Bryan Adams in '83 were very frightened of the long haired Anvil metalheads... LOL

A few weeks back I saw the Rolling Stones with Motley Crue as the opening act. While I love both bands, Crue fans and Stones fans are for the most part, two completely different kinds of fans. The Crue got rather lukewarm applause after each song in their set and Vince Neil couldn't get anyone to sing the opening lines to "Home Sweet Home". I felt sorry for them.
