They are "allowed" but I think DC is worried about brand confusion so the "Marvel Family" has become "Shazam Family".
In the whole Shazam movie they never say "Marvel" and the Bishoujo calls her "Mary Shazam" as well.
I can live with it, just likely to slip up time to time after decades to make the switch.

I still refer to Captain Marvel as Warbird which was her code name when I first came across her in the Avengers comics. I don’t really have any chemistry withy her and I didn’t like her much when she sided with Iron Man in Civil War but I really liked her movie. I still haven’t watched Shazam though. Soon.

Not missing the syringe at all. Looks like they swapped the black and white on the outfit and cape too. I suspect the rod on the previous photo was just for the initial paint proof as there was no real reason for it. The pose doesn't warrant it since she's on 2 legs and doubt that umbrella needs the support.
Nothing has changed for me though, still a definite buy!

I’m thinking perhaps Death’s hat should match her cape. It kind of blends in with the umbrella. I don’t know just a thought.
