I much prefer Cap in the movies and comics, but in the movies I cant say that either one is more important than the other, they both were very important...and I really dont know how much im going to enjoy the MCU going forward without them

Probably because he was phased out after Ragnarok

With Cap out of the way, Hulk and Thor marginalized and IM dead, I don't see very much for me to get excited about. The Silver Surfer would spark my interest greatly and I have Dr. Strange 2 to look forward to but we won't see the X-Men for a few years. So with all this and DC being mostly bad, I see the superhero movies going downhill for me from here on out. Hope I'm wrong.

Where does this even come from? MCU knows much more about making a successful franchise now than when they kicked off with Iron Man over a decade ago. If anything, there is even more to be excited about. They have FF, surfer, Galactus, etc. back in the fold. Xmen! People were skeptical about RDJ as Iron Man and how could Chris Evans be the super soldier when he had been the wise cracking Johnny Storm ... and they made it work amazingly. Give MCU some credit - the future is bright!

Captain America should be the most important, but because of Robert Downey Jr's salary and his movie started the franchise, Marvel Studios has a little bias for Iron Man making him the most prominent character in all the Avengers films.

My interest in the Marvel universe is based around only a few characters. Without them there, there's not a whole lot for me to get excited about. Having said that, if they make a truly great Punisher movie and bring Captain Britain (Brian Braddock) and a proper Black Bolt into the fold, then I'll be excited again.

Got it - I read your comment moer of a general editorial about the future of MCU but after looking again I see it is more of your personal taste/preference.

Do you like the Netflix Punisher?

So torn about that one. I like the gritty, visceral atmosphere they created with it. They grounded it in reality which is what I really like, but I just couldn't get past Shane from the Walking Dead being Frank. Punisher is physically intimidating and looks like Bruce Wayne who went over the edge. Bernthal is a very slight fellow to say the least (saw the actor in an airport once). I tried so hard to like it, just couldn't.
