It's a black base outline possibly making use of clear resin, to conform to the shape of a black base. I might be wrong?

Is the crab and turtle in the game?
If they're not, then they have no place on the base, as i'd view that as PCS sculptors artistic licence too far. Likewise, the sand and rocks should be Arcade accurate.

They could always drop the crab in favor of a monkey

My guess is, they might offer different color combo's, yellow vest, pink vest etc.

I can't see them passing on creating the Green & Yellow tracksuit. Maybe they are saving that for a 1/3 piece

I totally saw it as water lol mainly because i'm guessing it's based on Kanzuki Beach and half that stage is water and the way her feet are posed makes it look like she dipping into water.....i still think it will have a water element to it.

It wouldn't require two sculpts if this is the MM line they'd just do 2 different costumes, like they do with all the other pieces.....they may change the head sculpt or whatever but the beauty of using MM is you can easily do different costumes.

Yeah of course. Having a different sculpt for the lower half of the legs is easily done.

Or achieved with MM or paint applications.

Mixed Media opens up a lot of possibilities, Look at how different the MM variants are like Summer Demon Oni, Kabuki Honda, Pilgrim Gouken etc compared to the repaints done with the Ultra line.

Not too many differences at all.....all the examples i gave have far more differences.

It'll be mostly the MM changing...

Thats what i said in my original post.

Normal costume on black base.

EX version swimsuit with sand base.
