A makeup brush is a good idea.

The brushes used for cleaning camera lenses would work as well- though the make-up ones are probably more ubiquitous and cheaper.

This is what I do now. Go to Walmart/Walmart-type store get a $9 large/wide makeup brush. I also use cans of compressed air and sometimes a cloth lense wipe.

Easy....seal cabinet all around to make it pretty much air tight with only a very small opening at the bottom....get an air filter and run it in the collection room 24/7...seal the door to the room all around with only a tiny opening somewhere....
If u have central AC make sure the vents to the collection room have hepa filter....done

I went to a general store. They wouldn't let me buy anything specifically.

Most of my displays are covered, so about 1-2 cleaning a year. The open displays are about 1-2 a month, with a damp micro fiber cloth.

Forgot to add...
While ur setting this up take close up pictures or high def videos of the statues before you seal off the entrance door....

When u get d need to view your collection just open the video or pics you took and you can view them anywhere all day all night....no need to go inside the collection room and let dust in....that way you can limit going in there to once or twice a year only when you really have to.

If you got extra cash you can also get those Arlo high def wireless 4 pack sets from Costco or Sams club and install them close to your statues....thats another way you can view them without letting dust into the room....you can even see them in total darkness with the night vision feature.

Goodbye cleaning....solved!

The quickest way to double your money is to fold it in half and put it back in your pocket.

Canned air also works nicely.

I actually use a powder brush for overall dusting of a statue but will use an eye shadow brush to get into tighter area's of a statue like crevice's of a cape.

Same.

I got this kit from Amazon. It's got everything I need.

As most others have said, blush or eyeshadow brushes are amazing. Just remember to clean them every so often with water and a gentle soap to get rid of the dust build up.

Other than that, I use Swiffer wands for the shelves and try and vacuum once a week. I've seen a lot of people recommend using an air purifier in the room you keep your statues in.
