Superman/Batman Sucks!

Alright, this title has really been struggling the last few months.

The end of the Loeb run was just ok, mainly IMO to the pencil work. Issue 26 was not what I would call engaging (the Sam Loeb issues) and then this latest issue, #27...

I couldnt even finish this thing...when I discovered the state of our heroes in the first few pages...?!? Forget about it.

This title needs a big shot in the arm. Anyone have any idea who is taking over the writing duties for this rag? I would hate to give it up altogether, but I will unless there are major upgrades to the creativity.

I stopped on that one right after Supergirl. Then sold off all the issues along with a BULK of my DC stuff.
It was good for a while but I just stopped with my DC books and focused more on marvel.
Now you wanna talk about let down, that Jim Lee Superman story. BLAH!

I actually could follow it okay and liked it up until the end of Absolute Power, which I thought was genius. The last arc bit the big one and I only flipped through the issues since (except the Sam Loeb issue which should be immortalized). It's sucked for a long time now, since Absolute Power (again, exception is Sam Loeb ish). Sad to see a book go from so high to so low.

Yeah, its true.

Is Verheiden staying on this title for a while? This will let me know what my pull list will be for the next 3-4 months!

Yeah, I agree Ish, but Im not gonna finance DC's rappy books until they decide to put someone worthwhile on one of their flagship titles. They did the same thing (until recently) to the Batman...damn 'em.

I have only read the Absolute power and Supergirl trades. Liked the Absolute Power, couldn't enjoy Supergirl cos of the art.

Picked up the sam loeb issue and will be picking it up again, only cos Van sciver is drawing it
