HeroesCon 2013
So, who's going? My ticket is booked, and my flights have now been arranged, so I'm looking forward to catching up with a bunch of SF members!
Next item on the list is to arrange accommodation.

Had a blast last year at it, and I'd no doubt again benefit in my projects from such a trip, so... maybe?
Though a Stephen Wroth sighting would be reason enough.
We'll see....

I have been the past two years and had a blast. Dropped WAY too much money last year.
The only "big" con I have been too, but I have to say if I could go this year I would, but it is simply not in the budget this year.
You will have a great time Wrothy. Stay at the hotel right across the street. It is where most all the artist stay and you can rub elbows in them in the bar in the lobby!

I am definitely going. It is always a great time with other SF members to hang with. I have been many times, one of the best shows, even the artists feel that way. Very laid back atmosphere, easy to talk to the artists. You will definitely enjoy yourself.
They are finally starting to list names. Here is some of the people coming:
MING DOYLE
TOM FLEMING
TOM LYLE
MARK MCHALEY
JOE QUINONES
ROBBI RODRIGUEZ
TONY SHASTEEN
TIM TOWNSEND
MARIS WICKS
THOM ZAHLER
BOB ALMOND
PETER BAGGE
ERIC CANETE
STEVE EPTING
GENE GONZALES
JAMES HARREN
PAUL MAYBURY
JOE PEKAR
CASSANDRA POULSON
ERIC POWELL
PHILIP TAN

I've already for my the day pass (and my wife's pass) and am already working on the artist list for my Captain America jam. I'm hoping to see some big names this year, but even more, I'd love to see some names that haven't been there before.
I'm hoping Luke Ross may even show up but not holding my breath. I'd love to meet a few people from the forum while I'm there. I plan to attend all three days.

Thanks for the thought mate, but on looking at the prices, I can rent a bungalow that's about a 15 minute bus ride or $8 taxi ride away from the convention centre for half the price. And less money spent on accommodation means more money to spend on art.

Very true dude. There are a few hotels around in walking distance that may be affordable as well. I can't say for sure since I live about an hour from the convention center, so I drive every day instead of staying in Charlotte (though I MAY see about staying with my in-laws this year at least Friday night since they live there).
If you have to stay away from the convention center, remember that the Light Rail train actually has a stop inside the convention center. It's a hell of a convenience.
