Rogue, first of all I want to say thank you for kindly and timely answering our questions!
Second, I'm very excited Blondie is up for PO!
However, I have to ask . . . Why is she $50 more than all of the other girls?

Seems there is alot of details on this one that can defend the higher price imo. Preordered.

Hey all! Great questions. I'll be back on to answer them when I have a little more time tomorrow. However, I just wanted to share something with y'all real fast. I kept my promise and got pics of the Sweet Pea production sample. Just put them on our Facebook page now. Check 'em out! http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?s...6362694&type=1

Blondie - TBD
Sweet Pea/Rocket - No comment (yet). I'll post Sweet Pea's in January. Rocket, I don't have that info yet.

Don't hold me to it, but scuttlebutt 'round here makes me think you'll hear something early next year. Just an unconfirmed rumor, though.

Bullets are expensive. ;-)
Okay, for a less cheeky response, yes it's exactly what Shallow_ said: more fine detail = more time/energy/material invested in making the piece = more cost to us for manufacturing = higher MSRP (and seriously, bullets are darn expensive!)

Honestly, I don't know. That piece came out in 2004. I only joined the company in 2009, and I know that there's been more than 100% turnover on the product development team since the release of that C-3PO, so they may not even have a FS R2-D2 on their radar right now. I'll ask and find out, though.

First off... no Greg... I am NOT stalking you!
The R2-D2 statue that is still in development is in 1/6th scale so wouldn't it be the full size companion to the 2004 C-3PO statue?

Can you say anything about the no. 1 worry for me (and others), the leather fringes/strings under her arms ? Looks to be a very fragile detail.
Also, using real bullets.. sweet

</creepy>. Well, you've followed me from GGC to SF to Statue Marvels, and you're carrying this conversation across two of those boards, so I don't know what else to call it. ;-)

From what I can garner (and like I said, we've had 100% turnover in PD since that C-3PO was released and that R2 was announced) the R2 statue in the works was not meant to be a companion piece to that C-3PO.
Honestly, it's been so long since that C-3PO was released, it might be worth us taking another pass at him. Would you guys be interested in a new piece featuring both C-3PO and R2?

Yep, they'll be fragile. We'll do our best to pack these pieces well to avoid breakage in transit.

No, I want one that matches the C-3PO piece.
