Congrats! both Black Widow and Catwoman look excellent.
Of the two the Catwoman piece looks slightly more impressive, probably because of the black high-gloss finish and that base design.

Iron Studios - Black Widow 1/4 arrived today.
Compared to images of the prototype, it appears Iron Studios have delivered a production piece that matches the
proto. I am impressed! ..and the box is small - Yay!

Black Widow represents my first Iron Studios piece. In some ways it seems different to a Sideshow Collectibles
piece, or an XM Studio's piece to name two companies. Rather than being a single color, the blue outfit is a
mixture of blacks and blues with faded areas around the elbows. The outfit is bluer than my photo's suggest.

The portrait looks excellent. Unlike some companies that use a single skin tone with some shading, Black Widow
features a skin tone finished that looks unlike anything i have seen from Sideshow. The paint app looks really good.
This is one area i never thought would match the proto. The SJ likeness is possibly the best i have seen so far of
any 1/4 statue, even the amazing Gentle Giant Black Widow

I am not sure what the piece is made from, as it features little to no graining normally associated with resin. The
material used reminds me of the same material used for the Sideshow X-23 which felt like a type of resin with a
hint of plastic. It appears to allow for finer detail, the zip pull being a prime example of detail i do not think is
possible using regular stone resin. The smooth hair looks really detailed.

The base is what it is, an unusual design. It looks like the proto. The colorful wires appear to be actual wires, not
sculpted, glued in place with a clear tinted lacquer wash applied over the top.

Assembly is hyper basic. Unusually the portrait comes attached to the body. Attached body to base via a thick
metal sqaure peg, and attached both arms to the body. Assembly complete!

Nit picks. None really? ..possibly the belt.
The grey belt, looks fine. It is plastic.
niiiice!!!!

looking at your thread made me want this one but i am too late in the game and totally missed out....and FTS i am not going through ebay since thats the only other option

Jean Grey Premium Format? Figure by Sideshow Collectibles
Arrived today. No 0701/2000

All in a all, a great looking piece. I always liked the Jean Grey sculpt and paint aspect of the piece ever since it was revealed.
I was never sold on the base concept. In person the white has a silver edge to it.

The good news, no googly eye's, and paint lines look sharp.

Some bad news, mine came with what i can only describe as a line made with a knife, which runs across the rear of the hair.
There does not appear to be any paint missing. It makes sense to assume, the line was made after casting, before painting.
I wondered if knives are used during the moment when a cast if removed from it's mold?

Jean Grey does not eat up much space.

Vampirella

These two have sat in tubes for a while now.
Finally ordered a couple of frames last-week and framed them tonight

The wall location isn't their final destination. They were hung on a screw for the sake of a quick snap-shot.
Please ignore the ugly shadow to the right side of the frame(s) as i simply redirected the ceiling spotlight.
