Mine didn't ship Friday because Sideshow said my method of payment failed. I used points to get the statue for free so only had to pay $80 shipping, but my Paypal somehow got denied--which is absolute bull----. So, since Sideshow is somehow incapable of charging my paypal (this happened before with my Doomsday statue), I had to charge the payment to the card I usually use which went through fine.

I don't know why they offer Paypal as a method of payment for preorders if they can't get the damn thing to work when it's actually time to charge for the item.

Congrats! Hope to see some pics once you have him unboxed. I'm still waiting for them to take my final payment with the shipping charge. I switched to Payment in Full last month and SSC still hasn't put it through.

I usually put statues on flex pay then switch to full pay when the last payment gets delayed. Maybe being in the system that way for a longer amount of time matters? It shouldn't, but who knows what's going on with Sideshow's system.

Got mine opened up. I didn't see the ring of ball bearings for the base in either box so I'm going to have to really search them both again or have them send me a replacement. Also, I ended up scratching the damn cape when I put it on the statue. It didn't go in easily so I had to work it around a bit. Same with his foot going in the hole--got a nice chip (that you can't see) when it finally slammed into place. Other than those couple issues, the statue is beautiful. I am a bit nervous with the sculpted cape though. I won't be surprised if it starts leaning as time goes on.

A few pics:

Is the sculpted version supposed to have the ball bearings? I thought that was just for the fabric cape version.

WOW! Beautiful piece General! Thank you for these great pictures and I'm sorry you had such a hard time with the setup, I'll make sure to keep that in mind when I get mine home.
