Fingers cross it's just the lighting. Hopefully Paul's not repainting it. XD
It's impossible to repaint the thing since it'll cover up all the decals...

Respectfully, those pics were of the factory sample. the color of the body compared to the dome did appear to be a little darker than it should be but it could of been lighting or the bag he was wrapped in. You mentioned that you were going to post pics of the unboxing, but never did and I was afraid you were upset with the color of the sample which is why you did not post a pic of the ED-209 sample out of the box.

All that pure white foam is causing the camera to adjust exposure so it doesn't get blown out to pure white. That in turn has made ED's color look much darker that normal, not to mention that it's under plastic (reflecting some of the light). You know those silica gel packs packed next to him are white, not grey, that's how far off ED's color is as well...

You should know by now that Chronicle would never OK a factory paint job that was so far off from the prototype or original.

Get off the fence and buy him!

Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.

Damn right, anyone that has been following these forums at all should have no doubt about Chronicle's high standards and attention to authenticity.

If the photos and reviews of the Cain model didn't convince you that these replicas will be perfect in every way... Nothing will.

Paul has never given us a reason to doubt what they are doing.

From the track record so far.. I'd say have no fear..
ED-209 will look exactly as it should.

Seeing as how we sent them the paint to match the screen used puppet, kinda hard to screw that base coat up....
