New NECA 1/4 scale ALIEN big chap

Bigger and better than the last one, which was still really good.

I never could assemble my original because the foot just would not go on!

This costs double the amount of the first one

LOL`

But I would rather buy this than the NECA Powerloader or Queen Alien. Was shocked to find out that the Powerloader didn't come with a Ripley figure!

Beware that NECA unannounced created a variant with retracted lips and open teeth on the tongue I think they are being shipped randomly one or the other half and half. NECA on ebay will not let you choose which one.

Thanks for the heads up!

I have the original one. Can you tell me what are the major differences? I noticed it is now 22" versus the original at 18".

The body, arms and feet appear to be a recast of the original though.

Does the tail bend?

Will he stand on his own or does he tend to lean?

It's bigger and better than the old one in every way, the whole thing is a new sculpt from what I can tell. I have the old one so I compared. Tail is bendy, has metal inside so it will hold shape, it can stand on it's own but your gonna want to use that tail so you have a tripod effect for stability. Feet and legs are more articulated now to help get it into a stable pose.

the teeth version has more of a snarl look where as the lip version covers all the teeth . to me, they both look really awesome. the older version had more of a black with grey tones where this is more black with brown tones. with a bit of time doing a nice base and some decent lighting , you can get this looking very awesome and very high end. Neca did great o this one.
