where was it stated that G and Tyrant are, for all intents and purposeds, equal in power? are we talking about the same Tyrant that Thanos fought and put up a fight. IMO Tyrant did get the better in the fight. and didn't Galactus create Tyrant? I thought that whole storyline was a badly written comic just hype Tyrant up. "oh look this guy here is so powerful that he can take on Galacus." in this fight though I do pick Tyrant as the winner.

Galactus won the battle from way back when (but who knows how long the battle went for), and Tyrant was going to kill Galactus in the Surfer comic until Morg started zapping him with the Ultimate Nulifier. And if Galactus was so much more powerful, he wouldn't have let Tyrant hold on to Morg. Regardless of your like or dislike of the story or background, the way things were written, their power levels were basically equal.
Besides, in the first Thanos story arc from a few years back, Thanos blasts Galactus on his ass too.

Galactus, if I remember the story correctly, the fight did last for a while. I'm talking about the intitial fight.
we don't know how it lasted. you have your view and I have my view. I don't think of them as equals.
Galactus knew that if another fight between the 2 of them were to occur something it would be a momentual fight. so he used his head and knew it was worth it...so keep my herald. and don't tell me that you really think that Thanos is a fight for Galactus? Marvel makes G look like a push-over for everyone. he's poorly written.
