The Anubis is one of my favorite egyptian gods and I have to admit that I don't like this one. I am more of a fan of the classic statue posted in here or something like the statue I picked up from Luxor in Vegas. This sculpt looks too "action figure" for me. Maybe the addition of more textures and maybe not such a lanky figure would help. It looks way too generic. His costume looks too heavy and he looks weighed down by it. I would rather the figure have a more beast like look also. Way too stiff.

Is he going to be in a battle action pose or a standing guardian pose?
The grinning face fits an action pose better. If hes just going to stand there, better give him a emotionless face. Just a thought.

The face suggests an action pose, and this is what we are going for!

I just think it would be a bit wise if you read or research something first before doing it.

I learn as I go. And who said I don't research before I start on a character? I try to learn what matters and not fill up on info that I won't need. My time is way short!
But definitely I'm not an encyclopedia and I don't wanna be one either!

Guys,
I paticulary am very fond of Egyptian Mythology, and I surely would like to have all of them done, but it will depend on how well we sell them!
