Smallville New Season
spoilers below
Holy Kryptonite, yes! For those of you who didn't see the Super prattle I posted yesterday, Jimmy Olsen will make his eagerly anticipated debut in the season premiere, and he's going to look a lot like Veronica Mars' ex, Troy Vandegraff (aka, actor Aaron Ashmore). Additionally, several of my Super moles now confirm that Jimmy is definitely being eyed as a love interest for Chloe. Now, here's the other big news I teased about in AR: Sources say that a pivotal comic-book character will show up this season — and it's got "fanboy orgasm" written all over it. Can't say more, but expect an announcement very soon (like, perhaps, in next week's issue of TV Guide magazine).
that character is GREEN ARROW, who is looking to recruit heroes to join the JLU!

Green Arrow as a kid or adult?
Hopefully this is only a step from seeing Green Lantern, Bats, WW appear.

Probably right.
Then they could just make him part of a visiting schools' archery club.
Hal Jordan could be an air cadet.
Wonder Woman could be masquerading as an exchange student.
Bruce Wayne could have a story where he knows lex, business contacts, you don't even need to bring Batman into it.
Martian Manhunter could come to Earth thinking Clark is a fellow martian, because of his strength, masuerading as a human boy.

Shawn Ashmore was on Smallville a few seasons ago as Parasite, if I remember correctly, he is Arron's brother and also Iceman in the X-men movies. They could almost pass for twins, if they aren't already...
I find it to be very strange casting.

I'd like to see some Green Lantern ring action on Smallville.... see Clark fly again, and see things move in a "Superman" direction rather than all the playful banter between Clark and Lois, or whoever. Any more word on Aquaman "Mercy Reef" being used as a mid season replacement on this new WB / UPN hybrid station? It still ticks me off that the UPN goon squad dropped Mercy Reef......
