UPS/FedEx question

Have any of you ran into the problem of UPS or FedEx requiring a phone number for the person you are sending a package to? I ship all my packages from the mail room at my job and they won't let me ship anything without a phone number.

Now, a guy that won one of my eBay auctions is b!tching about it said "you are really the most unflexible ebayer i've ever had
and that after over 400 transactions...oh well, never mind."

I told him that I don't make the rules for UPS/FedEx. I offered to refund him the money, leave positive feedback and move on. Will see what happens.

I need to change my name to Mr. Unflexible.

I really hate eBay..............

I've never been askedf or a phone #.

But don't hate on EBAY as there would be really no other viable solution to sell your stuff (or buy in some cases)

You can always 9 it out .. it's not like they ever use the number, but as long as there is a delivery confirmation that can be tracked online, you'll be okay with Paypal.

I tried using my own number, but the last time, they knew the KC area code would not work for a package to North Carolina. Anyway, the buyer said I was the most immature seller on ebay that after 400 transactions I was the worst he ever had to deal with..........what ever, refunded his money........if he was that much of an a'hole about giving me his phone number, I don't think I really wanted to do business with him.
