I'm hearing it was a "no guns allowed" theater, if this is true, I have not verified yet though, the theater policy may have been to keep out licensed armed citizenry.

People always struggle to find the reason.
But I have never understood the usefulness of that since they are clearly mentally deranged there is no reason of course that justifys it.

I think this will be the familiar pattern with these whackos, warning signs ignored and nobody took action on.

I questioned this as well and my wife brought up the great point that a 3mo old would sleep through the entire thing and would only be awake to eat. Still not ideal but maybe not as big a deal as we are making it. Both of my kids sleep though movies all of the time. However We don't take them to any midnight showings... Usually a daytime showing after the movie has been out for a week...
