I am interested too... people on FB are claiming yellowish paint and bubbles in the paint.

Cross country skiing is great if you live in a small country.

Not quite sure what they mean? Checked SS product pg, & the sculpt does seem to have small pebble like ridges/textures throughout the work. Is this what they are referring to? Or are the actual paint apps screwed-up?

I saw the one vid available on youtube, and the paint looks outstanding, as the reviewer stated & gushed about. Hard to believe SS would screw-up a 250 ed run, especially for a pet project.

Anybody else get this thing? Can someone confirm or deny the shoddy paint claims?

So, Sideshow's Mythos dream, along with the Alien Queen's scream fall on deaf ears in the cold, dark vacuum of empty space(s)? Nobody bought this thing? If so, what say you?

Somebody posted pics over on the Freaks board a while ago. It took a hit in both paint and detail over the proto. But if you don't put the pics side by side, this actually looks pretty nice in its own right. I hope they make a proper queen in this style, that would be awesome! This is okay, but I think they are over doing things a little, less can be more some times. The spines at the side of its mouth for example don't really add much, but do detract from the flowing lines it has otherwise. same with the base. Still, I quite like this over all.

EDIT. Actually the post I refereed to wasn't an in hand piece, it was Sideshows own pictures of a production sample (see link below) And they always tend to be slightly better than actual in hand pieces.

Hmmm. I joined the waitlist for this but these pictures are not impressive at all. I think I prefer the warrior sculpt over this. Even if that ones paint is flawed some it still would look good due to size and positioning of the sculpt. You can keep the damn cat though for $50

A recent vid was posted on youtube which will give you a much better view/assessment as it was filmed outside under natural light. Your best bet presently.

I am truly torn with this magnificent sculpt. I only became aware of the Mythos line very recently, and just bought the Mythos warrior, but never had a chance to budget/plan for this beautiful Mythos Queen. I'm scrambling, but I don't think I'll make it,.........yet.

The paint apps do not seem to be as proto, but they still look magnificent as shown in vid. Everything else looks stunningly wicked, with a presence unlike most offerings on the market. Simply beautiful work, which was insanely trashed, with no rational reasoning whatsoever.

If you take the plunge(?), I'm envious. If you share pics/insights and keep my hopes alive(?), indebted. Good luck, & lets keep the myth alive.

It's a shame it was overcast when the guy did the outdoor YT video.... I bet it would have looked amazing in actual sunlight.
