In the beginning it probably seemed like a good idea, a no brainer, to release 2 characters at a time all based off of a single poster image.

Being small scale probably seemed like less of a risk, financially.

Given the small size, it seems more suited to PVC territory.

I was thinking had they collaborated with a Japanese company like Koto or Prime 1 which is getting into PVC, they would just focus on delivering the digital sculpts and production would have been a breeze and on time. If they really wanted to they'd do it. The TF 1/8s didn't do well but they went for it because they thought they'd do well at retail.

Street Fighter is never going to be quite dead but it's had its ups and downs through the years in collecting. Only this time I think it's finally contracting, due to both economic and franchise staleness reasons.

SFVI release will be a big push for the series since it is hard targeting mainstream audience. If anything I imagine most of the SF merch in the next few years to be just from that game.

I see, and that's good to hear! SFV sure didn't have the impact of IV.

Happy to see Street Fighter product coming from PCS, but this doesn't scratch my itch.

Hopefully it does well for them with the Gamestop and F4F-type crowd, and we can get to some more product for existing 1/4 lines.

Whoa, I remember seeing these years ago and figured they must of decided to cancel this possible line? These poses are from that horizontal poster. I like them but what's the deal now? They're making them out of PVC? I hope that's not true?

Edit: Nevermind I read back in the thread and PVC they'll be. Darn it.
