This Jekyll and Hyde piece freaks me out. I love it!!!

Gabe's style is so unique. I love his interpretations of the subjects he choses to sculpt. Amazing work.

Wow, interesting interpretation. To me, this is saying that Jekyl is as much a monster as Hyde. They both look like monsters, and that is how I have always looked at Jekyl after reading the Robert Louis Stevenson novel many years ago. Jekyl is perhaps the real monster, as he continued to release his inner monster within, when he knew that it was a killer. Interesting character study, Gabe. Great job!

a few years ago- i went to visist the mega talented casey love, to have a week long sculpt-a-thon.
we thought a collaboration would be fun and this is what we came up with.
BIG props to logan- those paints are dang sweet!
thanks a bunch for posting the pics!
..and thanks to all of you for the way too kind comments!

There is a way that most people sculpt that feels familiar to me and relates directly to the comic book world almost as if it already had a place-this is not Gabe Perna to me.Gabe's sculptures have a much more artistic and pure approach that allow me to see new visions of characters I thought I already knew everything about-It forces me to paint with a new vision and to raise the bar on my paint work. Nuff said .
I have pics at my website: Heir to Atlantis, lord of destruction, meltdown wolverine, hulk bust,me am #1 and my favorite perna bust The Baron
thanks,
christian
