I just got thie book recently too. When I looked at the last page, it say look for Volume 2. Alreayd out in stores.
Which confuses me a bit. Isn't this a new book? How is it that volume 2 was on sale first and volume 1 later? Is there going to be a definive volume 2, perhaps?
Did they make hardcovers of these? Are they going to?

Fathom V1. Came out in 1998 A couple of years later Top Cow Produced a Hardcover TP of issues 1-9. After MIchael started Aspen he Released issues 1-9 again on a soft cover Trade paperback. then came aspen wich is sorta volume 1.5 and the TPB came out as Aspen Extended edition. Then V2. came out and the TPB both Hard Cover and Soft Cover same out in June/July of 08. This month is the definetive TPB that came out in Both hardcover and soft cover. This edition contains all of 1-14 of V1. Fathom that was published by Top Cow (be aware the original issues of Fathom #12-14, had the witchblade and Tom Raider in it) but due to copyright issues both Sara (witchblade) and Lara(Tombraider) were taken out of the story and the art and the issues were reworked so the story could make sense with out them. also it includes the aspen extended edition and Fathom Preview (2 different versions), Fathom 0, and Fathom 1/2 as well as the first 2 swimsuit specials from Top Cow. I hope this helps. You should visit the Aspen Forum at http://www.aspencomics.com/community/default.asp

Thanks for clearing it up. When I bought the definetive TPB, I thought that was it. Something as a complete series. I was surprised to see on the last page of the store where it says next volume available now. If I new that, I probabily wouldn't have bought it. Mainly it was a pre-order.
Nor did I know there was a hardcover version. When I pre-ordered this in the Diamond catalogue, all it had was the softcover version. No mention of the hardcover. Which I rather have.
Just check aspenstore.com and looks the the hardcover is an exclusive to their website.
