The quickest way to double your money is to fold it in half and put it back in your pocket.

yup I made reference to your post about the remote, but there isn't a remote to control the color aspect too?

Does anyone have any 2016 suggestions for lighting for a Besta? Ir a detolf? Are the dioder lights still the best choice? I would prefer a cool white option though :/

dioder lights are nice, clean option, look professional, but the housings for the led strips look nice in the opal lens color, kind of fluoro look, without seeing all the smd's...i don't like rgb, for me either warm white or cool white, heaps more professional looking...everything else is a novelty...running mine on motion sensor now with cool white's, got sick of remote...i only want mine to come on when i'm about a metre away from it...for my application

How did you get yours running on a motion sensor? How can I go about setting that one up?

I use the Dioder 4x from Ikea: http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/20119418/

I really seem to like them since I just have a mini-Besta setup going right now. Plenty of light for me anyway:

My advice, if your going to install LED strips, install a roughly 1/2" to 1" lip on the underside of each shelf (depending on the size of the statue and what you can get away with). Its super easy to cut wood to the right measurement, paint and drill some holes to install them and they will hide your strip light so they aren't directly visible.

And if your really lazy and want a much easier route, buy a small roll of matte black Cinefoil and some black gaff tape to tape a small amount of Cinefoil (just enough to hide the light) to the underside of each shelf. Honestly, if your using black shelving I highly recommend a roil of cinefoil regardless of which way you go. Its great for helping hide lights and reflections.

Here is a 12x50 roll of Rosco Matte Black Cinefoil and gaff tape on Amazon in case you want to go that route.

there's a few options, you could go with one of these, which i just saw recently, which i really like

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/DC-12-24V...sAAOSwvgdW3yr2

or what i have does the same as this one,

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/HOT-LED-S...wAAOSw9N1VjMUj

so just connect the psu into the dc female connection on the msu, and then the male out to your led splitter box..they take anything from 5-24v...you have a dial for time delay, proximity is set on mine, but i have mine back on the wall, so i decrease the distance, mine comes alive about a metre out
