I'm assuming the new paint app must be close to completion, or complete?

Cross country skiing is great if you live in a small country.

thanks for asking!

what a coincidence because when you posted this I was actually in the garage painting the statue.

anyway...long hiatus again. been very busy in my life lately but I was able to take some time yesterday for this project so I jumped on it right away and based the armor parts in gold. that's pretty much the only thing I was able to do.

so here is what it looks like so far. I just taped up the buckle, groin piece and "earings" just to see what they look like. while I was putting together every thing today I noticed I lost the chain link I cut, primed and painted for one ear ring so I have to make another one.

the hair is still just a base color and nothing else added. the gold bits still has some areas that need some gold paint because I was rushing during the masking process and just left some areas to be done by brush instead of airbrushing.

I also messed up and accidentally painted the left arm gauntlet/armor in gold as well. I had intended to paint that some kind of chrome but I guess I went a bit crazy on the gold and painted it by accident. I am thinking of redoing the left arm gauntlet so I can paint it chrome. I also forgot to base the gold armor on the shoes.

I think you can leave the left arm in gold color. Looks nice this way. I think its only taste to say it would look „better“ in chrom/silver.

thanks for the input guys.

had some time today and did some doodling on the hair. it looks very glossy because i only had a can of gloss sealer on hand...will fix that later.

not much work done on the gold parts yet apart from base coating.

will post updates when additional work is done on it.

The gold looks good. How long have you been working on this? over a year?
