New art day - Mignola sketches from NYC Comic Art Expo - Hellboy and Skull

My two pickups from NYC Comic Art Expo. Iíve always wanted a nice Hellboy sketch and skulls sketch from Mike but heís often swamped at shows I attend. The Expo was a nice low key event and I was able to snag these two from about the 12th spot in line - Mike had a good selection of Hellboys inked, pencilled, torsos, full figure, etc at a range of price points. I donít think I would ever get access to such choice pieces at a bigger show.

That Hellboy is awesome. I love the smaller shows for that exactly that reason.

Very nice gets!

What price range were Mike's pieces going for?

Looks like they prevented dealers from buying up all the stuff and left it for fans - that make me happy to hear!

$300-400 for skulls and $500-$700 or so for Hellboys in various formats - pencilled, inked, full body, 3/4, headshot, etc. Definitely a wide selection and a limit of two sketches per person, so I imagine most people got at least something. Mike also had a portfolio of some covers but almost all at the $10k price point.

Cool - sounds like nice Mignola art was accessible for collectors/fans to pick up. Thanks for sharing!
