I get that all the time too, and it drives me nuts

It's a real shame there are some absolute d!ckhead international buyers out there . . . they ruin it for those of us that are genuine, trustworthy and courteous international buyers. I've missed out on a number items I'd love to buy because they only ship in the US, and the sellers miss out on a much better selling price alot of the time as well.

As for this guy, he sounds like he's just playing games.

Remember there are no stupid questions, just stupid people, so forgive me if this question has an easy answer but.............

If his relatives ship to him in Spain from Vegas doesn't either he or they have to pay this import fee? How can he be unaware of it?

This is of course a seperate issue from whether or not it should be your problem or not in any event (it shouldn't be).

The buyer probably knew about the fees and thought hey maybe I'll stick it to the seller instead of his family

I've been through this way too many times. Why buyers think its the seller's responsibilty to pay their import fees is mind blowing. If you don't want to pay import fees, don't buy from other countries.

Import taxes. He has to pay them otherwise the item comes back to you.

It's really not your problem, anyone importing stuff into Europe should know about this.

But if the item is returned - does the seller have to pay those fees?
