They don't get exclusives, as those stay with Sideshow. They do get other stuff like "Ultimate" and "DX" editions though, which is nice with their $4 flat-rate shipping (really looking forward to ordering the Void and Conrad DX set from them for that reason).
There was at least one instance of them not even getting a regular edition from Sideshow (Hush Superman with the sculpted cape).

This is the main reason I order from them. That and you don't have to pay on PO's until they are at the warehouse. It's a shame they don't get EX's, I guess I'll just have to get Huntress EX from Sideshow when she is released.

I was looking for the Sqweeks the mini version 1/4 as the normal one 1/2 has already sold out. I just found out that the mini version has never been on PO .anyone knows more info? THaANKS

So, does P1 take recommendations or hold polls on the characters and lines they do? Or do they just make whoever they want without consulting with the collector community?

Depends on the license holder's demands and other factors. Most often it's Facebook group members or the moderators conducting wanted-character polls but development takes such a long time that it's hard to attribute any eventual announcements or teasers directly to their results. I imagine they're more receptive to requests for lines like Berserk--where they have the original creator's direct involvement in design and a reliable sales for supporting characters--and less so for some of the movie and video game lines.
