So if nobody knew it was a poll, how were we supposed to tell them we wanted them to get the license? They should be smarter than that anyway, people always say yes make it, then don't buy. They need to do their own market research, it won't be huge numbers, but there is a solid market for these pieces.

This is actually false. A Prime 1 employee clarified things and said that they do, in fact, have licenses for LOTR, Aliens/Predator, and the X-Men which were polls. The official announcements should be coming in the next few months.
