"The End Of X-Factor".....
....starting with #257. Is this a ploy, or is Peter's stroke causing them to cancel the book?
Would REALLY miss this book....one of the few Marvel books I'm still reading!

That's bad news, I really love X-Factor.
But I don't think it's a ploy, Peter's not the gimmicky guy.

No kidding. Back when he was writing the "Crazy Genis" Captain Marvel book he had him conquer the Marvel U, but didnt make an "event" out of it. Ok, Genis conquered the Marvel U in short order, now let's get on with it.

Maybe after writing 100+ issues, Peter felt he has said all he has to say about the team? If true, it will be missed.

I'm hoping they're just going to relaunch the title for Marvel NOW and that Peter David will still be at the helm. Kind of like what they did with Slott and Spiderman.

I'd be very VERY surprised if X-factor came to an end at this juncture in time. Peter has stressed on more than one occasion his multitude of plans for these characters, and as cold as Marvel execs can be surely they wont cancel the book out from under him any time soon given his recent health issues and the books relatively comfortable niche.
What are you basing this information on? The latest arcs title?

More likely, marvel wants to reset, and make it a Marvel Now title in alignment with the other x-books.

The book is barely selling 20,000 issues....in today's market, that's pretty much right on the bubble for cancellation for both Marvel and DC.

I think certain titles are afforded more leeway and this book is one of those, but again, what are you basing this on? Just the story arcs title?
