A few words of encouragement for the PCS faithful

I just wanted to offer a bit of encouragement for you fans out here. I see a few posts where some are getting a bit disappointed with release schedules and what not.

I'd just like to say that Jerry is doing everything he can on every project to make sure they are the best they can be and to get them to you in a timely manner, you can take that to the bank.

I can also tell you with firsthand knowlegde that Capcom approvals have started taking a lot longer than usual over the last year. As Jerry already stated the approval process has really had an impact on his release schedules. Even though approvals are taking longer I believe it is for the best and the projects are only going to be that much better and I for one can personally atest to this fact. Capcom are the creators of these characters and they know the dedication and quality Jerry has for their properties so they are helping to make sure that PCS brings the fans the definitive Street Fighter, Darkstalkers etc statues on the market.

Rest assured things are moving in a positive direction with all things PCS and there are alot of great projects that you will soon be seeing so keep the faith PCS fans and know that Jerry and Co is doing everything possible to bring you the absolute best!

thanks for the message but I still keep wondering why they're so frustrating when it comes to PCS approvals and other companies *choughSotachough* get to release products that are sub par to say the least?

Good question. That I am not sure about, I only know that from my experience starting with PCS approvals went fairly quickly and now they take a long time.

Is it actually Yoshinori Ono who approves them? Perhaps they're taking so long because he asks his little blanka figure for feedback and just ends up staring at him waiting for an answer. That would explain a lot...

Yes, I believe Ono has final approval and say so on everything. Not sure about the little Blanka figure though;

I don't know very much about the licensing contracts that companies have with artists like PCSC, but I would assume that PCSC pays "x" amount of dollars for the right to produce Street Fighter collectibles and that the rights only last "x" amount of years depending on what's agreed upon.

So if Capcom drags their feet in the approval process and time literally equals money with release dates and getting new products out, how does Capcom justify taking so long to approve a product that PCSC paid good money to create? That's what would piss me off the most if I was Jerry.
