I've always seen Vibranium to be of similar strength to Adamantium, given its properties....
... but doesn't Vibranium absorb sound and energy? Adamantium is the stronger metal, but Vibranium's more useful; it seems.
As others have said, Logan's claws can cut only as deep as his strength allows for.
