I suck for not having read any of the Exiles yet, especially since I own two pages from it now.

Need to rectify that at some point.

I think that I shall never see
a man who sucks as much as me.
True, I have great hair, sharp wit, nice looks,
and am very knowledgable with books;
but in the end, my major Achilles' flaw,
is the same as every other man (ie the four-clasp bra).

Even though I'm probably the only guy here to remember this team, I thought that they were fantastic! One of Bill Willlngham's early works, the Elementals had it going on for obvious reasons. Earth, air, fire & water teamed up in, for a couple years, a great book. -

Great premise - Cop, kid, spoiled rich girl, & helecopter pilot, all died horrible yet elemental deaths at the same time in different places (rock slide, fire, drowning, etc...)& were reborn w/ a specific uber-element inside. Their homebase was Seattle, WA & some sort of "in the know" professor grouped them & ran the show. Lazurus, whom Christ ressurected, then sort of forgot about, was their main enemy. He was pissed & had an uber-grudge that he was forced into eternal life after being awoken from the slumber of death, then overlooked for 2000 years. They spilled into a few Willingham books at the time (including an adult one called Ironwood) & spent some time in a fairy-type land ful of D&D type situatons. Great art, huge fights, & great writing.

This was back in the great 80's years of the indies. Comico, First, Pacific, Texas, Capital, Atlas + tons more.
