The portrait with pursed lips makes it look more suggestive, especially with the gun up to her mouth, so I do see pin-up there. Other than that, I agree, museum pose.

Agreed. For those that say this is a pin-up pose, I say they need to find better pin-up models.

All the thing is in the "raised leg". It's a very very classic pin up pose.

The same funny " raised leg" when a girl kiss a boy in movies...
So, for those that say this is a badass pose, I say they need to find better badass models.

Agreed. I also think blowing the gun in those kill heels seals the deal. Those people who say this is not a pin-up pose is in denial

LOL in denial over what style of pose a comic statue is in? That's about the dumbest thing I've heard all week.

I better join the statue-pin-up-pose-denial support group ASAP.

I don't dislike the pose because it's pin up, I dislike it because it doesn't look natural to me.

I get the intent of it but it doesn't look like she's resting her leg up on the base, it looks like she just raising it for no reason.

Did you see the those heels? Perhaps she is just relaxing her foot after fighting around in them... perfectly legit reason...

but if she were resting and putting her weight back on the base it wouldn't be sideways. It just looks strange to me.

While true, you also have to take into consideration the nature of a pose(any pose for that matter). Pinup poses are primarily overtly playful or seductive or a combination of both in nature. Mystiques pose looks more boastful or confident while holding two guns and or a knife at her side.
