Good question, I also noticed it, what are these? Specially in the natural skin, they look like a bad sculpture.

I think the idea is to give the "arms" a kind of aquatic fin vibe. I agree it works much better on the blue skin version. I have a much less expensive mermaid that I bought and had pro-painted to display with my Poseidon and she has some fish skin/scale subtlety going on on the upper arm as well.

i would prefer a human body. No spindles radiating out on the shoulder and no fins on forearm.
The fishtail is enough "non-human"
