Wow, that trailer was awesome. Overall not a fan of mixing characters from other IP's, but he definitely seems to fit with the theme.

Yeah I don't see why they felt the need to give him two gloves, takes away from the Freddy cool factor a little bit for me. The single claw glave look is iconic, and he could have fought as well with jsut the one.

I also hope tha he has an alternate costume/skin with classic (Robert Englund) Freddy, as remake Freddy used here is nowhere near as iconic.

But even so, I'm actually really looking forward to downloading Freddy and getting my inner dream demon on.

I also think his character fits into the MK universe a lot better than a lot of the character crossovers that we have gotten in fighting games over the past few years.

In fact if they want to add a few more famous horror characters I can't say I'd complain, just as long as they were ones that fit well into the MK aesthetic.

Glad I downloaded the season pass for all four dlc characters now. Hopefully this won't be the end of MK dlc content.

Now if only my TE fight stick would finally arrive...

Well put. I dont think they are anywhere near being done with DLC either.

So if they do go down the line of horror movie characters, which others would you like to see?

They could do Jason (like Ryu suggested), with cyber Jason X alternate skin, or whatever it was called from The Descent as a kind of Reptile character with powers focussed round darkness.

Finally played the game the other night.
Didn't do a lot just training+fatality training and the first tower.

Story mode is so amazing! It definitely sets the standard for stories in fighting games!

Yeah I'd have to agree, they actually did quite well with the actual story and character/fight order in story mode in this MK, which is not something that you can say about most fight games, as most story modes usually feel a bit 'tacked on'. Lots of care went into this one, and it shows. Great game too. Best fighter I've played in a good long while.

Be interesting to see where they take the franchise with the next installment in a couple of years time, which is rumoured to involve a lot of new characters...

I've been wondering too, what they are going to do to make people want to buy the next installment in this franchise. I mean they totally nailed it with this version, so what are they going to do that will make people want to buy the next one?

I think bringing back digitized graphics would be cool! Make it look as close to real life as possible!
